What is the Meaning of Your Logo?

Picture

  • The Globe represents our desire and mission to reach the world (Matt.28:18-20).
  • The 12 pointed seal behind the Globe represents our desire and mission to find, identify and unite the 12 Tribes of Israel who came through Isaac (Gen. 49). The 12 also symbolized the 12 prices that came through Isaac's brother Ishmael whom we also we also feel obligated to reach for Torah and Messiah (Gen. 17:20, 25:16).
  • The two divisions of the two colors represent Abraham’s two sons Isaac and Ishmael (I Chron. 1:28).
  • The upper half has a blue background with 35 white stars, the bottom half is a sandy tan background with 35 stars representing grains of sand. Together they equal 70, representing the nations as well as GOD’s promise to Abraham that His Descendants would be as numerous as Stars and Sand and would be a blessing to the Nations.

Who is "RaYBaSH" and Why Does he "Ramble?"

Picture
RaYBaSH is an acronym representing my Hebrew name and title, "Rabbi Yehudah ben Shomeyr." Many Rabbi's that are in rabbinic literature such as the Talmud go by such acronymic names. For example, some of you may have heard of the Rambam and his 13 principles of Faith. Rambam stands for, Rabbi Moses ben Maimon. There was also the medieval Torah commentator called the Radak, Rabbi David Kimhi, as well as many other who were referred to by their acromymic name.

I "Ramble" because, "RaYBaSH's Ramblings" just flows well and has a certain ring to it, it's catchy. It represent what I do, I Ramble on about the Torah and Messianic things because I love to educate, teach and instruct, it's my calling. I decided to use this as the title of my personal blog and one of my teaching playlists on YouTube.

What's a "Drash"

The Original Logo

Picture
This was the original logo for Abraham's Descendants International. This logo the LORD gave to me when He first called me to start this ministry. It represents the three monotheistic faiths of Abraham that we are called to reach as a ministry. The Star of David standing for Judaism, the Crescent Moon for Islam, the Cross for Christianity and finally the Olive Branch representing Messiah Yeshua and the peace, unity and salvation that is only found in Him the Living Torah.  Many folks were bothered by the logo and didn't understand the significance of the symbolism and so we discontinued the use of it. It caused some to think we either supported Islam or mingled Islam with our faith and practice, which couldn't be further from the truth. However, in honor of it being the original logo and representing the Divine call of God upon this ministry we still use it as the websites favicon.
